Because of a mistake in my
scheduling of this vacation we found we had an
extra day before we were to return to Cleveland. We spent that last evening and day of our vacation
with Bill and Dana Gregory and their 2 boys Devin
and Jack. As
you can see by the pictures I took they have a very
beautiful home, which is located with-in a short bike
ride of downtown Fort Lauderdale. There were plenty of
homes in the area that had their own dock on which a 40
foot or larger yacht could be tied up. |

Their
pool temperature was near 90 degrees and well used as
you can see by the lap races that the boys and their
friend were having. You will notice that The one
who came in third of a lap race was always thrown in by
the winners.
We saw that there were plenty of chameleons in the
area. They are a small but very fast lizard and I do
not know how as a young boy I was able to catch them.
Diane noticed the large green lizard on the fence. We
were told that they were known as a Cuban Lizard and
they were very nasty. I understand their main source of
food is the smaller chameleon. Dana is quite a cook,
and from what I could see everyone pitched in to help
her in the preparation and clean up after the meal.
Diane and I want to thank the Gregory's for your
generous hospitality in offering us a room for the night
before our return to Cleveland. We totally enjoyed our
visit. I have to admit that Minnie was not to pleased to
smell the aroma of Heidi on our clothes when we got
home. You were lucky we were near our weight limit or we
might have tried to sneak her into our luggage. But then
she does have that one fault. It is probably best that
she not be forced to meet alot of new people as how much
pee can one dog hold for those special moments
