Lake Placid   The Fosters    frog Pond

The last stop of our month long trip was a visit with Barb and Floyd  Foster, who spend half a year in their beautiful home in San Antonio Florida, and the other half of the year based in Amherst.
In this slide show you will see we were able to visit with Sharon and Ron Getty who moved permanently to a home about 20 miles south of Tampa, to be nearer their daughter. We are old friends of the Foster's and Getty's through PACE a civic / social  club we started when we were in our 30's. It seems so long ago but many of the old club members are still old friends. And I emphases old as our friendships are in most cases over 30 years old, and that outs us all in our young 60's.
In these pictures you will see  the solar cover that Floyd has covering his pool. Minnie had never seen a cover before she just thought it was ground. Well she stepped off of the edge of the pool and went straight into the water. Minnie hates surprises like that since she stepped off of the dock when we were preparing to go on a cruise in our boat when we shared it with Don.
In the last pictures of this group you will see a brave  Sharon climbing onto the back of Ron's hog.
After staying several days with the Foster's we headed north towards Amherst. We ran into some stormy weather north of Atlanta, with large hail stones and blinding rain. The next day we ran into some snow squalls that also limited our vision to near zero when we were north of Cincinnati.

The background music is provided by Gerry Lee Lewis and Elvis. I don't blame you for turning your volume down.
