The Original
Herrmann's Royal Lipizzan Stallions
This page is dedicated to the
best show I have ever attended that was free. A hat is
passed for a free will offering to help defray costs.
The show is about an hour and a half presentation
of these beautiful Lipizzan Stallions. The show is free
to the public only because it is actually a training
session for the horses and their riders at the winter
training ranch. Mistakes are made and they may do the
same routine over a second time if it is determined that
they did it wrong the first time. The training
shows are held Thursdays and Fridays at 3PM and
Saturdays at 10AM. I would suggest you Goggle their home
page on the internet for directions or call
941-322-1501, if the weather is questionable.
You will notice that all the
riders are young ladies. After the death of the Colonel
Ottomar Herrmann the responsibility of the training and
continuation of the presentation of these animals became
the responsibility of Gabriella Herrmann., the daughter
of the Colonel. You will see her as the one that has the
headset on. This mike is connected to a sound system so
she can tell the audience what will be happening
next as well as instruct the riders if they need to
correct something. The riders are volunteers who come
down to Florida for the experience of riding these
horses.
