Visit to Cousin
Lee's Cabin ( sounds like the title of a book)
with Mike and Bill Scudder, Aunt Huntz and Tom, Amy and
Lee Hamel. Amy and Lee are sweet on each other and the
whole family is pleased. They are not married but I
added her to the Hamel name anyway. I hope you don't
mind Amy.
The first pictures is of Mike Scudder in Lee's
taxidermy shop, As you can see down in Southern
Ohio you can't keep any secrets. Just look at all those
deer that wanted to hear what Mike and Lee were talking
about. They just stuck their heads through his wall of
the shop. You know if you wore a hat you would have
plenty of places to hang it if you went to visit Lee.
Mike is the crazy one in the Scudder family. Mike lives
down in Texas, and you know how they do every thing big
down there, well he collects tanks. Not pictures of
tanks or little models of them but the real thing. He
has rebuilt to factory specs as best he could a real
1950's tank. To get all the parts for it he had to buy 7
partially destroyed tanks to make the one he has now. By
the way Mike after he was discharged from the marines
became a revenuer with
I believe the Alcohol tobacco and firearms branch
of our law enforcement branch of the US government. He
looks like he could be a terrorist and sneak in
and get Ben Laden for our leader Bush. But he is
retired now so all he plans to do is build tanks. I hope
he doesn't turn me in for being a Bush Whacker. Maybe he
could take a few of his left over tank parts down
to the southern boarder of Texas and set up a few
dummy tanks, that way we will not have to build that
fence that or Pres wants. Once in a while a border guard
could throw a cherry bomb, that would scare all
those wet backs back across the boarder.
Bill is Mikes older brother. He is 69 but looks to be 59.
Bill lives out west and is retired from Chevron Oil
company. He described going through the big earth quake
that hit the Bay area back in 68 I think he
said. He described how the tall buildings were swaying
back and forth. None came down as they were built to
take that kind of shaking. Bill says he likes the area
he lives in and will probably remain there the
rest of his life.
We all agreed Amy is a sweet heart. We hope that all goes well
between her and Lee. Amy has a beautiful home I am
told. If they were to get hitched I wonder how she would
be able to move all her furniture into Lee's cabin.
Lee may have to cut a second hole in the outhouse, as
you know how some women can be when it comes to having
one of their own.
I am going to stop writing my foolishness now , but
before I quit, I want to say I think we all had a
great time, and we plan to do it again in 40 years or so
as that is how long it has been since we saw saw Mike or
Bill.
If Mike sends me the pictures he took and I hope he does, I
hope he includes a picture of his tank I will build a
second slide show to prove I am telling you the truth.
It's a big tank with about 6 large barrels sticking out
the front. |
