I have moved all of the text relating to the
DBS Surgery I had this summer to its
own page Click on this link to go there. I am sorry but like the
rest of the Frog Pond the surgery has the most current information
first. It is sort of like watching Murder She Wrote backwards. You
know who did it before he did it
Some pictures have been added to the
Ellis Family Page. One picture shows the gravestone of Anthony
Aleskewicz This it is believed is the way the Ellis family name was
spelled before they came to America. Also included on this page are
several pictures of the Silver Streak dancing with his niece
Amie at Kim's Wedding.
I am not too sure what he was suggesting. I have added
several pictures to the Jagger and Libby page. This was Libby's
first Halloween. Of course Jen had both Jagger and Libby dressed for
the occasion. Also added to
Bubba's family pictures is a picture of
little Colleen in her Halloween costume.
Here it is November 12th already.
I haven't added much to the Frog Pond Tales recently, Not that there
hasn't been things to add It's just laziness on my part. The tremors
are nearly under control. I will have an other programming session
Dec 12th. The left side continues to be the problem side. I notice
it when I am trying to go to sleep, if the medication I am taking is
running out. But i am a whole lot better now than I was before the
surgery. Back then I was taking a pill every waking hour, now I am
taking 4 a day 1 ever 6 hours. The surgery does not cure Parkinson's
only hides its terrible effects.
I wanted to show the world my banana tree that I have had growing in
the flower garden over the summer. I am not sure if I had a picture
of it when it spent last winter in a pot in the sun room over the
winter.
This
first picture is of it when I first brought it in this fall. It had
grown from about 3 ft to over 8 foot.
This
second picture is what it looks like now. I was almost ready
to toss it out when it started to show some life. Hopefully I will
last until next spring when it will go back into the flower garden.
we had a weird fall this year.
I have several Elm trees that never change color in the fall, as a
matter of fact they usually try to hold on to their leaves till
winter is in full bore.
But this year their leaves turned a bright yellow and dropped almost
overnight. The first picture is of the tree just behind the
sunroom. You can see it is nearly bare. The other 2 pictures I took
at night when Minnie wanted to go out to do her business.
If you look close enough you can see what look like large
snowflakes. Actually they were leaves that were raining down. I will
have to go out and rake them into a pile by the road on Monday as
the city will then come along with their vacuum truck and suck them
up.
The
last picture is not a posed shot but the usual position of the
family in the morning. Usually Diane gets up first as she needs to
get ready for work. Minnie is usually sleeping as she is here, with
her head on a pillow and her body under the covers. After Diane gets
up minnie will usually move over to the hot spot left on the
mattress that Diane left or snuggle under her pillow.
I had mom take this picture of Old Baldly
and Minnie. I had my hair trimmed as bald as my barber
would dare as a special treat for Tom. This is Saturday August 12, as I am pretty sure I am not going
to be picture perfect after the operation.
I hope you can make out
Minnie on my lap. By the way I think I was rubbing her nose so see
would not look up. Click on this picture or the frog to see a
slide show of the
wine tasting tour we took as a family
I changed the Frog Pond lead-in music
at the suggestion of our good friend Beverly Smith who lives in the
sunny state of Florida. When we arrived at Fort Lauderdale as
planned Bev met us at the airport. We spent the first night of our
vacation at Dana Gregory's home. We left for Cocoa Beach the
next morning. A slide show of our relaxing 4 days at Cocoa Beach can be seen
by clicking on Bev's picture.
To the right is a picture of Diane and Bev
Smith On the right side of the table is Allison, Weslee and John
Davis, as we stopped for lunch on our way to Cocoa Beach. Missing
from this family photo is Landon who was spending the day at Cypress Gardens.
To the left is a picture of the Gregory's of Fort Lauderdale.
That is Dana to the rear, with Jack , Bill, then Devin on the couch.
The smiling pooch on Jack's lap is Heidi. A slide show can be see of our short
visit can be seen by clicking on their picture.
Some pictures of Henry's Tall Ship
that he is making for the Tall Ships parade in Cleveland have been
added.
Pictures can be found under Bubba and Don's page/Bubba's
Family
I am sorry I did not get a picture of
this, but while I was waiting for Jen and Don to return to the boat
prior to leaving for their Canada trip, I had left Minnie off of her
leash as we were walking around the Beaver Creek Boat Club building,
Minnie was in the lead as usual exploring. Before I reached the
corner of the building I heard a Honk Honk and a Bark Bark. Then
nothing except Minnie's single I want to come in bark. Only thing
was there was no Minnie. She apparently spotted some Canadian Geese
and gave chase like she does to any cat, dog, rabbits or
squirrels that enter her territory. Only this time it wasn't her
territory.
The geese ran or flew off of the old Rte. 6 bridge
piling, with Minnie close behind. The geese flew and Minnie dropped.
about 12 feet into some weeds and bushes that were growing next to
the river. At first I did not know where she was. But when I called
her name to come to me I got this feeble bark to come save me. I was
able to get down to the river bank and lift her back onto level
land. I would have loved to have seen her eyes as she saw the land
disappearing beneath her as she fell. The 2 pictures above were
taken a couple of days later. I took Minnie over to the area where I
thought she jumped in. As you can see in the left picture there was
one spot she was interested in looking at, but that was as
close as she would get to the edge. The Beaver Creek was swollen and
muddy today as we have had a few heavy rains storms.
The picture to the right is Jen and
Don leaving the Beaver Creek Marina on their July 6, 2006 trip
across Lake Erie to Canada A slide show of the beginning of their
trip is available on the Conflict Alert
page.
I have added the Slide shows I
made for the Beaver Creek Boat Club ( BCBC )webpage. There are not too many pictures of Diane or me in these
shows but there are a lot of pictures of some good friends we enjoy
being with. You can find the BCBC pictures under the
Conflict Alert link.
I must apologize as a lot of the links in the photo shows are not
correct but I will have them fixed in time. The slide shows all run,
so enjoy. And I will be Jazzing up the music where I find it
may be necessary.
Last stop
before we we returned home was a overnight trip to New Hampshire to
visit an old friend of mine Bill Rogers, who I first met while we
were employed at Pyronics. Bill gave us the $2.00 tour of the
New Hampshire and southern Maine coastline .
It was a rainy New
England day but I will guarantee we all enjoyed the tour and
fresh lobster we had in a small restaurant on the coast. You can see
a little guy trying to get out of the bucket. To see a slide show of our visit with Bill ,
open the picture link to the right. I will tell you the end of the
story before you see the slide show. The lobster did not make it,
After the wedding we traveled to
Diane's sisters house for a couple of days. It was there that Minnie
met Mickie.
Or
at least Mickie met Minnie's butt as it seamed that is all he wanted
to do was sniff her behind. My guess is when there is a strange dog
in the house a good sniff of the behind will identify the dog as a
friend or foe. But since Minnie has been fixed I don't know
what kind of sign Mickie was getting.
Well the wedding is over.
I suspect so is the honeymoon, You can see all the pictures and read
some of my thoughts concerning this happy couple by opening a link
to The Rest of the Ellis Family
to the right and up. Minnie went with us, and she traveled
wonderfully. After a couple of barks the first time we would leave
her in the Hotel room or car, she would curl up and go to sleep
until we returned. We carried about 12 dozen doggy dodo pile bags
with us but never needed one. During the trip Minnie
even got to meet some new dogs. And some really big dogs.
Minnie met a Horse at Sonny's sorry no picture, a
donkey 2 sheep and a big slobbering dog.
Its Friday April 28th , Don and Jen arrive on the Amtrak,
After while Amie and Tom flew the Cheetah into Worchester's small
airport. We are all in Worchester MA for
the weekend as Diane's niece Kim Napolitano is getting married. I
will fill you in on the highlights o the Frog Pond as we proceed
with the wedding. After the wedding festivities are over on Sunday
Jen and Don are back onto the Amtrak where they are heading to New
York City for a couple of days. Tom is going back to Maryland and
Amie has a short business trip to Florida.,
4-17-2006---

The Little Cheetah
February 25th : Slide shows added to
the Diane and Don page. By this
time all of the Steelers have all returned to their mansions and so
all is peaceful again in the pond. The Frog has quieted down.
I heard on the news this evening,
that this week in Cleveland we are honoring the great black leaders
of Cleveland. I wonder if next week we will be doing the same
for the other colored people of Cleveland. The brown's, the yellows,
greens, purples, the pink-o's and then finally the whites may get
their day. What a shame!
Sunday February 5th the
Steelers went to Detroit. Need I say more. On Tuesday January 24
through the 26th, Bubba and Don
went skiing at Holiday Valley, New York, which is located about
an hour East of Erie, Pa. They did not go alone. For a
Christmas gift they took some of the relatives along, Colleen
and Henry and Diane and the Frog. Also attending were Bubba' s
brother Greg and his wife Jennifer and their young daughter
Colleen. When we arrived the grass was green, but within a
couple of hours it started snowing, and did not quit for nearly 2
days. We sure had fun. Henry lost his keys in the snow and I drove
into a ditch. While the young ones skied. Luckily, Bubba found
Henrys keys and Bubba, Don, Greg and I were able to get the Buick
out of the ditch. I will add a slide show of what pictures I was
able to take, which was not many as the weather kept the old folks
trapped in the condo. The old folks stopped at the Indian Casino
that was near by on the way home. Leaving there a winner made the
entire trip a enjoyable adventure I am sure we will never forget.
Thanks to Bubba and Don.
The New Years Story begins today
Today is January 19th.
Uncle Ed is still ill,
We are all praying for his recovery. I have
added some pictures the Jagger and Libby
page and to the Ed Kuska
retirement show, located on the
Frog's Page,
that were given to me by a friend. My shakes continue to hold me
down. Surgery is still the best option we are holding out for
, but the final decision from the doctors at the Cleveland Clinic,
if the will cut or not, has not been made. Guess what! I made some
changes to the Lamoreaux family history page. besides that , I am
going to re-label it
The Rest of the Lamoreaux
Family I have also changed the Ellis Family history page to
The Rest of the Ellis Family.
