It has been requested because of the size of this web page, for all new changes a description of the change and link to that change will be located in the Frog Pond Tales

The pages Amie's surprise and The More of Amie's surprise have been combined into 1 page that can be reached by entering The Amie and Tom Pages. I did this to clear up a sound problem I could not find a fix for.

Three pictures have been added to the Lamoreaux Family History page. To find the pictures go to the Lamoreaux Family page to the upper right. Click on the Roehler Link then click on more pictures and about 1/2 way down the page you will see Tilly and Dan Popey. Tilly is my God Mother.

A picture of mother frog has been found and posted on Diane and Don's page.

A slide show has been added of some of the tanks and such that Mike Builds. Also a second show of the reunion at Lees has been added.
I believe I mentioned that one of my cousins, an, ex marine, had built a tank. Actually he has built more than 1 tank. Follow the link or click on the picture to the rest of the Lamoreaux family page to see several more military vehicles he has refurbished. There is one more picture  he is mailing to me which I will add when it comes in.

Yesterday I traveled with Tom Hamel, and his mom Huntz to Southern Ohio to visit with Lee Hamel and 2 cousins I haven't seen in over 35 years. Bill Scudder  who lives near San Francisco and Mike Scudder who lives just out side of Houston. I will be putting a link to the slide show on the Lamoreaux Family page. You can go directly to the slide show by  by clicking on the picture to the left.

I moved the pictures of the reunion of friends in Brighton Canada to the Diane and Don page so it would be easier to find.
Since you are already  here, click on the picture to the left to go to more pictures of my friends.
Ann Barker passed away today December 17th 2007 of stomach cancer. She will always be remembered.

More tests  were run of  Miss Camilla's sex determination. I want two make sure you understand the words that are printed with her pictures are from her father , Kate the dog  and some old witch taken from out of the Frog Pond history files.
More pictures have been added of Camilla as she grows in Amie's womb. You will also find these pictures by clicking on the picture of the 10 week old fetus located in Amie and Tom's page. These latest picture are proof positive that Amie and Tom went and did it. It is remarkable what detail can be seen in these pictures. There is one thing missing though, and because of that they are pretty sure it is a girl.

A slide show of the South Hills High School Class of 1962  reunion party has been added. The music is only a temporary selection until I can find something more appropriate. Click on the link above or the picture to the left. You will also find the slide show on the Frogs Page.  The happy group to the left is the Mt. Oliver attendees. of this years reunion. If you did not attend, you may have missed the last chance to see some of your old and I mean old friends from the class of 1962. These are the people that came from other districts that attended SHHS. Plans are in the early stages to try to have a 50th reunion of only Mt. Oliver graduates. That is only a couple of years away. If you did not attend the 45th reunion of the class of 62, because you thought you would not know anyone, then you have no excuse not to attend this reunion as these will only be your Mt Oliver friends. If plans can be finalized and any of the organizers need help give the Frog a call.

The latest addition is to the Lamoreaux History page. I have added more old family pictures to the Roehler link that have been gathering dust in a box in the cellar. An addition has been made to the Air Force Buddies page

On September 4th Diane and I traveled to Brighton Ontario, to visit with some friends, Minnie stayed with Jen and Don. The picture below Jen says was Minnie's favorite spot. Jen had a basket full of cloth scraps she uses for sewing and Minnie made a home in it.
The friends we were visiting are all originally from England. I last saw Mary over 35 years ago and Ann about 15 years.  Chris we saw last about 2 years ago. Bob who is married to Chris I have known for only about 27 years , best we can figure. I have made a small slide show of our visit, but it is  made a different way that will allow you to scroll down to a picture you like and by clicking on the picture you should be able to copy the picture into your computer and print it on your printer.  Remember this slide show requires you to use your scroll button or pointer to see the pictures. More pictures and some comments have been added to my pictures of our Brighton Ontario trip. These were pictures that Bob Copeland took.
I think I have found the appropriate background music. Click on the link  to see and read about these great friends.
Brighton Trip

I have changed the cover music again. I always try to use music on the home page ( Known as the index page if you are into building web pages) that goes along with the feelings of the day.  I thought this little ditty from the Legendary Stardust Cowboy would fit right in as we are looking at the middle 90's for the rest of the week with local cloud bursts and flooding under these showers. So if you plan to be hanging your underwear on the clothes line, be careful to check the temperature.

08/18/2007 I now can explain my statement  that I posted on 07/16/2007 when I stated "the Frog cried for joy".
Click on this link to read the reason as narrated by Tom Hesbach.

Because of that old saying "If you get kicked off of a horse, get back on and ride him again, For If you don't your inner fear may cause you to be afraid to ever get on again" It was for that reason I went out the very next day looking for a car for Diane. This was even before State Farm Insurance had seen the old car  and declared it totaled. So I was riding a narrow path in that I thought I had found a car for Diane. It was a 2003 Buick Le Sabre Custom, 31000 miles on it and nearly no age shown. I drove it and it felt like the old one. The sales manager even had the young salesman drive the car to our house so Diane could see and drive the car. The first words she said when she saw it was "That was her car." The dealer gave me a good price and was willing to hold the car for me until I heard from State Farm. State farm looked at it Monday and offered me $5600 for the wreck. It took no time for me to agree. Click on the picture above to see a slide show of Diane's new car as well as a few of my new car pictures slipped in.

On Friday July 27 I was awaken, at about 7AM  by a phone call from the Elyria, Ohio police, saying Diane had been in a auto accident on her way to work. She had minor injuries and was being transported to the Elyria Hospital. The car was towed to a local bone yard were accidents go. When Diane was released from the Hospital we went to the bone yard to get any personal items out of the car. When we got there the first sight we had of the car hit us both like a ton of bricks. Click on the picture of the car for a slide show of what we saw. The slide show is being added to the Diane and Don page.

07/16/2007 Remember this day. This was the day the Frog cried for joy.

Our garden has been doing quite well this year, but only because we have been watering it nearly every other day. You can see by this picture it is like a jungle. The people who live next door  gave Diane some fertilizer called Chickie chickie Do Do, or something like that. Anyway it works like a champ. As the name says it is made from chicken droppings or something but is safe to put on family gardens or at least the Chinese manufacturer says it is safe. I trust what the Chinese say as if you lie over there they put you in front of a firing squad. It is a good thing we are civilized here in the USA as the entire Bush government would be dead if they were Chinese. The lawn is nearly dead as we have not had a good all day rain that soaks the ground in nearly 2 months. The picture to the right is the support posts I put in last year, as the roof was sagging over the back porch. you can see a little sunflower that somehow took root and grew on it's own. We did not plant it, but it got plenty of water from the potted plants above. The last garden picture is my Banana Trees. remember the ones that I kept in the sunroom all winter, well I separated them and replanted them outside. They are doing quite well. As a mater of fact the small one has sent up 2 baby shoots. I think this fall I will be potting the small one and trying to save the roots of the big one to replant next year. The last bit of news I have is I traded my Chevy in on a Buick. Lucerne. We leased it for 39 months as I do not do much driving anymore. The car comes with a 48 month bumper to bumper warranty so we should have no bills except normal maintance.  We will use this car for the long trips as it is loaded with everything they could squeeze into it. Heated steering wheel and seat back the seat are heated in the winter. It comes with On Star free for a year  plus GPS navigation A hands free telephone comes with it. We are not sure we will be keeping the On Star after the year as we have not heard the price yet for the service. The car will play mp3 CDs and has built in satellite radio. That is only free for 2 months. At first I said I would not renew it, but we have found a channel out of the 220 or so channels we both like, so the last word out of Diane is we may keep it for a while. The cost is only $15 a month. It is quite a posh car. Diane will continue to drive her 97 Buick as she is worried that she has to park it in some unsavory spots on the street when she goes to work in Elyria. It only has 77000 miles on it so if we are lucky and keep changing the oil it should hold up. The Lucerne  will be a nice car to travel in once Diane retires. I drove a new Chrysler 300 convertible in a local parade yesterday. A $35000 car, but there was no back seat foot room. The Buick had a list price of $32000, but there is room all over the place.
If the stock market will only hold together for an other couple of months I believe Diane may be convinced to retire. The latest word she has been telling her friends is she would like to retire at the end of the year. The medical and drug insurance is our greatest worry now.
Click on the picture below to see a slide show of a vacation trip I took along with Mac Dumler to Ibiza Spain  in the spring of 1966,   The show has also been added to the Frogs page. Yes that is me when I was 22. Do you believe it no belly. Enjoy the background music.

A slide show of Tom and Amie's visit has been added.

I am sorry to say but they were here for 3 days and do you think I picked up a camera. So the only pictures I have I are of their preparing to leave from the old Elyria City Airport. So click on this link to go to a rather familial scene of Amie, Tom and Kate
pre-flighting and fueling up The Cheetah for their departure back to Maryland.

Our neighbors on both sides have Gold Fish Ponds, and it seems these same 2 ducks have come to visit their ponds for the past 3 years. I am sure it is only to swim around and get their feathers clean. But a gold fish head count after a visit from our wild friends always comes up short.

have added several pictures to Minnie's page. These pictures are of her inside a hole she made in her pillow that is located in the doggie bed that she has in the sun room. She chewed a hole in the pillow then climbed in. She must have gone in head first then turned around  That would have been funny to see.
I have pictures of Diane in the Diane and Don page of Diane watching TV in her recliner. She noticed after it was too late the leg rest of her chair was over the coffee table so she could not get out of the chair. I thought this would be a perfect photo opportunity.

Latest update includes some pictures also taken during our visit to Florida in 2000. These pictures are of the smaller theme park located near downtown Orlando. Universal Studios

A picture has been added to Minnie's page, showing her typical spot where she sleeps. Sometimes I wake up and am unable to determine if it is Minnie or Diane who is doing the snoring. I also added a picture of my prized Banana Palm I grow it outside in the summer and bring in in the winter. It currently is hibernating. It does not look anywhere as good now.

I have been busy lately. I have a small collection of slides we took at the MGM Park in Orlando, in 2000. I don't know how old it was but it seemed older than most of the other tourist attractions they have in Orlando.

A small slide show was added to the Diane and Don link. this show has several slides of the Smith family in 2000 including Bev's mother and the entire Davis family.

It's now 2007 A new year, A new beginning. If you want to see the   Frog Pond of  2006 you will have to click on .2006 All the pictures and music are still there.

A slide show has been added to the Amie and Tom page. I call it July 2000 . These are some stray pictures I had on my hard drive, not enough slides  to make a show about each subject.

Not much more will be said of my surgery. I am probably 70 % free of all tremors, the 30 % that remain are only visible when my pills run out, and that is every 6 hours.

A new page is starting and you can find it on the Frogs page. I have been getting pictures from friends I knew back in the 60's from Anglia Control and otherwise. This new page will be still pictures that I receive from friends but seem to get lost on my hard drive. The first page of this format will be known as Air Force Days, then and now .

It's now Feb 24th Minnie has hurt her back. We hope it is not serious but with Dachshunds they do have a tendency of spinal cord injury.  We are trying to keep her still and are giving her a pain pill the vet gave us for her last episode when she seemed to have pulled a muscle.
Several weeks ago she was over at the neighbors house barking at their 2 large hunting dogs. She thinks that barking and nipping at these big dogs is how you play. Usually she would nip then turn and run before they would get her, except this time she was standing in snow up to her shoulders, and when she nipped she did not have the room nor traction to turn and run. The male who has always been a little more aware of her grabbed her and  flipped her. She seemed ok as she ran home with the 2 dogs chasing her. I think she was all right but just had the dickens scared out of her.
I believe she hurt he back by squeezing between the steps going into the sun room a couple of nights ago. She discovered that there was a critter under the sunroom probably a cat.  She got under the sunroom floor and was barking at the stranger . It was about 2 in the morning so I yelled to her to get out and go to bed. I noticed then that she had to squeeze real tight to fit between the stair boards, when coming out. I will keep you appraised of her progress.
Minnie had back surgery for a ruptured disk on 3-1-07. She came home less than 24 hours after the surgery. I don't think the anesthesia had worn off and we were taking her home. The first night was rough as she had some pain in the stitches area. Amie says it may have been a little self pity as well. It was after 3:30 in the morning before she got to sleep.
A slideshow has been added showing Minnie's battle wounds. The doctor says he dosen't want her walking around too much for 6 weeks. that is going to be difficult as she already forgot that she was hurt. She just can't figure out why her hind legs don't do what she wants them to do.

Don and Jen are out at Lake Tahoe skiing. This is their 3 or 4th  time out there. This time a small group of their friends rented a house and are staying together.

To night the boat club is having a wine tasting party. That is usually a lot of fun. We have about 10 of our close friends coming so it  should be a good night. I think we are all going to meet at a local Mexican restaurant for dinner before we go to the boat club. I will try to add a slide show of the evening tomorrow.

Speaking of the boat club. Because I also do the web page for BCBC I have posted several slide shows that may bring back memories , so I have opened a link directly to my Slide Show from the BCBC web page. Use the Beaver Tales button to return to the Frog Pond.
