The picture below will be
the
last entry for 2008, Even though the actual date is the third
of January 2009. To view 2008 scroll down to the bottom of the page

Below is is the picture of the over the hill PACE group at our annual
old folks New Years bash. Except for the
gentleman between Larry and Don we are all ex Pace members. You
could tell some of us are getting old when they could not open the
bottle of champagne, to toast in Dick Clark and 2009. It is my sad
burden to say Dick Clark should hang up his records. Ever since his
major stroke, he has tried to come back. But what we saw New Years
eve looked more like a K Mart manikin than Dick. Also I am told that
he had to learn how to talk again after the stroke. He sounded like
a record playing at half speed. So I want to say Dick I loved you
back in the 50's but the ball has fallen. Produce all the shows you
want but do not get propped up in front of a TV camera.
Most of
the group who have stayed in contact have retired and moved South or
West.
The antennas coming out of Brenda's head are really not
attached to her head, they are actually a new walking devise, with
hi intensity car headlights, tied to her back. They are supposed to
help her see
where she is going at night. The only problem she has to carry this
long extension cord to power the lights. When she bought the lights
she was given the choice of a long wire or a wagon she could pull
behind her with 4 car batteries to provide the power.
More pictures of Siena are coming once I put together a show.
Believe me I finally have a web show of pictures of Siena that her
dad Tom put together. These pictures will be from a ultra scan of
Siena in Amie's tummy to at least her first thanksgiving gathering
at Don's house. If Christmas pictures come in before I finish I will
add them to the show. Click on this picture to begin the show.
There are over 400 pictures in this show so when you get tired of
looking at them press pause and take a little nap. I am going to try
a new slide show program so I will be able to get them all in one
show.
This was Siena's first Thanksgiving. Siena, Amie and Tom drove in
from Maryland, as the weather was too questionable to fly the
Cheetah. We had rain and snow forecast almost their entire route.
Crossing the mountains is always dangerous in the winter because of
the chance of getting ice on the aircraft. Small aircraft do not
want to fly if they have ice on their wings.
Donna, Diane's sister surprised us by flying in from
Massachusetts. We found out that plans were coordinated through Amie
and Tom and Jen and Don. I guess every one was aware that Donna was
coming except Diane and the Frog. It was a good surprise as we had
not seen Donna for several years. We had our Thanksgiving at Don's
home as he has nearly twice the room we have. Jen's mother and her grand
daughter was there along with her brother and a couple of her
uncles. Henry Jen's dad could not make it as he had to work. We also had all
4 of the dogs with us, so we had to keep an eye
on the food table as except for Minnie the other three could just
stand there and eat from the table. I am happy to say the dogs
behaved them selves and no food was missing. The food was
great and I believe every one had plenty to eat. There is a slide
show of every one stuffing their face under the picture above. So
just click on the picture of Siena and Amie to see the ret of the family.
This is a slide show of a visit Diane and I took to see some old
friends at a cabin they owned in the hills of Eastern PA. in
September of 2008. Marilyn and Jim Lindner who we last saw at
South Hills High School's 45th reunion in the summer of 2007. At the
reunion Jim made the mistake of inviting us to their cabin which
they have owned for over 15 years. One night while I was sitting
around doing nothing as usual I got cabin fever. I went to my old
friend Goggle and looked up the Lindner's phone number. When Jim
answered my call it sounded like he was expecting it all along. But
then I found out that is the way he answered any phone call that he
received. Anyway I told him of my cabin fever and was the invite
still open. I am happy to say he was happy to say come on over, so a
date and time was set for our visit. I am very pleased to say we had
a wonderful relaxing 6 days at the Happy Acre cabin. Their was a
pond on the farmers property across the street and jim showed me how
to catch and release fish. I had purchased a 3 day out of state
fishing license. I was able to use it for 2 days as the last day we
were planning to go fishing it rained. So you will see some pictures
of Jim catching a small bass while Minnie and me sat and watched.

This picture was taken at Larry and
Olga's 2008 Labor Day picnic. We could not stay long as we were
just getting back from the Cleveland Air Show. Siena was tired and
probably in need of a poop shoot catcher change.
Bubba and Don were not there as
they were working.
Amie and Tom Plus Siena and Kate
could only stay a couple of days. They flew in on Friday and
returned home on Monday. I will add some more pictures of their
visit when I have a chance.
Several new pictures
of Siena below, she is just a little over 3 months old now
07/12/2008
Diane and I drove to Maryland to
visit the expanding Hesbach family, on June 5th. Boy is our little
granddaughter Siena growing up. She is reciting the Declaration of
Independence backwards. At least that's what I think she is doing as
I can not understand a word she is babbling. I think hereafter I
will be calling her Gabby.

show click here.
Pictures have been added to the
Frog Family pictures. Remember click on the Christmas picture
above to go there.
I would like to announce that the not so skinny Minnie is skinny
again.
12
pounds, I took her to a animal clinic in Columbus because of a
breakout of pimples that she had. She would loose hair around the
area of the pimple. The local vet was on the right track but this
young vet said, the results of some blood tests showed she was
allergic to her food and had the symptoms of ---------name of which
I can not remember now. I will add it later when Diane gets home,
She had us put her on a strict diet of ground venison, carrots and
potatoes.
She
lost over 5 pounds and the pimples. The vet also have us giving her
5mg of Melatonin. I called the vet and told her that 1 mg would
knock me on my kister, what would it do to a 12 pound wiener dog.
She said not to worry. Minnie is spry as a 3 year old and no
pimples. The picture to the right is taken from the sunroom showing
the snow hanging from the roof.
Pictures of our new Grand daughter are located under the
Siena
links. The Siena
pictures can also be found on the Amie and Tom page. Some
more pictures of Siena added. Some are duplicates and will
be removed unless I am really partial to them, then they will have
to
stay.
There I go again. 5 more pictures of Siena. Every time I promise "No
more pictures of Siena until she is a senior in High school", Amie
e-mails us more of her growing up. When I showed these to Grandma
Diane, I thought she was going to cry, Diane that is, I am sure
Siena would never cry. More pictures of Siena at 11 weeks and our
trip to see our grandchild in June 2008.
Pictures of Sonny's daughters
Karen and Noreen have been added to Ellis Family pictures. Some text
has also been added to the slide show of the
reunion in Brighton, Ontario this past summer of the five best
friends a fellow could have. A picture of
Grandma and Grandpa
Hamel has been found and added which includes their
grandchildren Tommy J and Christie Hamel. Christy is married now but
I do not know their name.
Little Miss Camilla had a party. It wasn't a coming out party as
that is still nearly a month and a half away. Actually
it was a baby shower.
I sure hope Camilla is a girl as if you are a he you are going to
look funny in all those pink clothes.
I tried to get a good side angle view of Amie showing her
enlarged belly. But every picture I took of her was not at the right
angle. Amie's only comments about her added weight were " I only
wish my butt would stop growing as I cannot keep my pants up". Maybe
she should wear suspenders as she suggested I do at Christmas as it
would hold my pants up over my butt crack. I never noticed my
butt crack before, but then I guess that is why God put the Butt
Crack in the back were we can not see it. No pictures will be coming
of my butt crack so you can continue on to link to the slide shows
of Camilla's party" I have added some pictures to the end of the
party pictures showing Tom, and Lin Cross His step dad and Tom,
Tom's dad busy installing a hardwood floor in the
nursery. It was a large job and the three guys worked hard at it. I
stayed away as I was afraid if I went down on my knees I would never
get up because of my weight. Also in this slide show are some
pictures showing Amie, Diane and Tom's mother Jo sorting all the
clothes Camilla received into nice yearly piles.
The pages
Amie's surprise and The More of
Amie's surprise have been combined into 1 page that can be
reached by entering The Amie and Tom Pages or the above link. I did
this to clear up a sound problem I could not find a fix for.
I will be moving
all of last years Pond Talk and adding it to a link on the bottom
left column. Everything will be there, it will just have its own
dedicated section.
The above two pictures are from our New Years get together with
the last of the of our friends that have not permanently moved a
South or West to get away from our winters. More pictures can be
seen by right clicking on the happy picture to the left above.
The picture below was taken by Olga a friend of many years. Looks to
me as if she caught me doing something I shouldn't have been.

It may look like I have lost some weight but like
the old saying goes "It's nice being the web page guy." A little cut
here and a little paste there does wonders for the old frog.
Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year
Here we all are again, along
with Aunt Huntz, In our 2007 Christmas picture. Except for
Jagger all the dogs were hiding around the house gorging on
all our Christmas goodies they could get into. Libby had
already devoured 2 packages of someone's beef jerky. I will need to
air brush my shirt later as the lens on my Canon camera likes to
distort parallel lines and it did a good job here on my
green striped shirt.

It has been requested because of the size of this web page, for all
new changes a description of the change and link to that change will
be located in the Frog Pond Tales
Some
of you who happen upon these smattering of photos and text and music may
wonder why is the Frog doing this. It may seem like a huge waste of time
to some.
But what inspired me was, one day as I was rummaging around for something
I had stored in the basement, I came upon 3 boxes of photos we had
stored away and forgotten. Some of the pictures were of my mother who I
had not seen since 1956 when she passed away of polio and of my
father who has been gone for over 20 years. Then I thought what were
going to happen when Diane and I pass. Were these pictures and our
current family pictures going to be tossed in a box and later thrown
out. Will the Ellis and Lamoreaux families be recycled to the trash
dump, one trash pickup day in the future?
But no I thought, I will start a web page, just for the fun of it. It is
very inexpensive. I will then save the web page file to a DVD. Come
Christmas I will then give a copy of the Lamoreaux Family history to my
children as a Christmas gift. Each year I will give them a new disk that
has all the newly added photos and info on it. That would mean they would have
a updated copy of our history up until my death, or I become to cranky
to do this silly waste of time any longer. A DVD copy of the
web page will run as if it were on line, published to the web.
Music and all. And if the computer that you are viewing the Frog Pond on
is connected to the internet, if a link is refered to and it is still
active the DVD will go to the link.
I know that the computer bigwigs keep getting richer by changing the
format or method of saving information. So it will be up to the future
Lamoreaux family to upgrade the DVD disk to the next format when it
comes along. Then they would pass it along to their family.
At least that is what I hope happens.
